Teen Challenge Opening New Referral Office in Austin!

Teen Challenge of Texas has finally opened a Referral Office in our renowned state capital of Austin! With a population of nearly 2 million people, Greater Austin is a five-county metropolitan area with the fourth largest city in Texas at its center.

Many believe that the Austin area serves as a major drug trafficking hub, a gateway primarily for cocaine and methamphetamines. It is suspected that a portion of the drugs that arrive in Austin remains in the city, spilling into neighborhoods for street-level dealing.

Austin is believed to have the highest per capita drug abuse rates in all of Texas. Over 20% of adults living in the Austin area struggle with alcoholism and over 10% struggle with drug addiction.  A Teen Challenge presence is very much needed!”

Our Referral Office staff will offer crisis counseling, Lifeline support groups, admissions interviews and referral to Teen Challenge residential programs in the Houston, San Antonio and Fort Worth areas. Our hope is, if God opens the door, to expand to offering residential recovery services for men and women by the end of 2014.
